DEATH CLOCK

Test 2.0

LIVE ACTION FEATURE FILM / HORROR

Joe goes into the office alone on a Bank Holiday only to find that the code he’s created has turned against him.

Concept

How testers scored the movie’s potential:

“I do not recall seeing any other movie with the same concept, it seems fresh, twisted, creepy and scary.”

“Feels like an original concept, and it's delivered in a really strong, contemporary way. There's a feel of The Twilight Zone about it, and it's unpredictable.”

Concept Posters

We tested 100 posters over six weeks. Here are the best two:

“I really liked this, especially the combination of mundane office environment with freaky visual treatment and suspense through the copy.”

“It is very different to anything I've seen before and because I really love psychological, chilling style movies, this has got a real electric feel and it makes me tingle with anticipation.”

Video Storyboard

Here are some clips from the 20 minute video storyboard which told the story of the entire movie:

Emotional Response

We used AI-driven emotion detection to measure each tester’s emotional response to the video storyboard, second by second. Here’s just one example chart showing the overall engagement of testers second by second:

We know both from emotional response measurement and tester scores and comments that we need to work harder on the ending of the movie:

ENDING

“Did not understand the ending.”

“Make the ending more definite.”

“The ending was ambiguous and bought up (for me) questions of the self, and choice which were both positive for me, however if this was an intention for the producers then this needs to be executed just a little bit better with perhaps a few more cues, as it feels slightly too ambiguous perhaps. ”

Overall Score

GO AND SEE / RECOMMEND

“Gave me that creepy feeling I felt when watching The Shining and It Follows, so that is a good sign.”

“I would love to see an extended version, with more elaborate scenes and attention to detail. I'm very interested in the final movie.”

“It was a very interesting concept, have not seen it before. I hope I can see it in theatres sometime soon!”

“If done right this can be a multiple set of movies.”
